Excursions in East Crete

Cretan Villages – the real Crete

This trip offers the opportunity to visit Cretan traditional villages and observe the way people used to live in Crete many years ago. Our first visit is an olive oil farm near Agios Nikolaos where we will stay for approximately 45 minutes and have the chance to taste fresh virgin olive oil.
After that, we will visit Kritsa, a beautiful traditional Cretan village where you will have enough time to walk around the local streets, visit an old church and enjoy a cup of Greek coffee in the village’s square.
The next stop is in Prina where you will learn about Cretan traditions and hear local stories, while walking around the village. Last stop is on the edge of the Lasithi mountains, in a village called Kalamafka. We will climb the 200+ stairs of the Holy Cross and have enough time for lunch.
Back to the bus we will take the road back to your accommodation, after a full day of experience!
