Excursion to Sitia – Vai and the monastery Toplou

Start this day trip to Sitia-Vai and Toplou monastery from Ierapetra on one of our comfort busse. We will drive through Makrigialos and will be heading to the Eastern part of the island. Our first stop is in Lithines, a traditional Cretan village where we will visit a small cultural museum (free entrance) and walk around the graphical streets.

After that we will visit Sitia, a beach-side town where you can enjoy your coffee and watch the local street market and buy local products. Our third stop is in Toplou Monastery where you will have the chance to walk around this great monument, take pictures and taste their famous local wine.
Our trip ends in Vai Palm Beach with its magnificent landscape and crystal clear water. You will have enough time to swim and enjoy the sun, take pictures and enjoy your lunch by the beach!

Do not forget: swimsuit, sunglasses, suncream and camera.

• 09:00 – Lithines Traditional Village. Our first stop is in the traditional Cretan Village of Lithines. In Sitia you can visit the Kazarma castle, the folklore or the archaeological museum. You will have time for a coffee at the beautiful harbor.

• 12:00 – Toplou Monastery. Our third stop is in Toplou Monastery. Time for unique pictures in this great monument.
• 13:30 – Vai Palm Beach. Enjoy the sea and the sun in this exotic beach. Time also for lunch near the sea!
